F. Dick 11-inch Multicut Steel Flat Fine Cut

July 3, 2014 By admin 1 Comment

The F. Dick 11-inch Multicut Steel is one of the best honing tools at the market. It allows to keep your knife reasonably sharp for extensive periods of time without unnecessarily wearing knife by whetstone sharpening. It’s a must for kitchen professional. Though F. Dick 11-inch Multicut Steel is a bit expensive for home cook I still recommend it if your home arsenal includes some expensive knife brands. This tool lasts a lifetime under the most abusing kitchen conditions. Your knives will go long way with only two sharpening tools – F. Dick 11-inch Multicut Steel for honing and extra fine diamond-coated or ceramic steel (Wusthof 4483, for example) for some fine grinding.

Have used this steel professionally for 15 years and now domestically ( retired ) for 10 years, the best steel on the market, will last a lifetime. If you learn how to use one properly you very rarely need to hone your knives, once every five years maybe. They are expensive but you only need one!!
