Deglon Ceramics Knife Sharpener, 9-Inch

July 3, 2014 By admin Leave a Comment

The Deglon Ceramics Knife Sharpener has very smooth milky white surface, something to the tune of 2,000 grit by feeling of it. Yet this smooth feeling does not make it any less abrasive, even the light stroke of the knife leave black steel residue on milky white surface. I love this tool, it’s bit more abrasive than Wusthof Diamond-Coated Sharpening Steel but it’s still a very fine sharpening tool. Be careful when handling the ceramic rod, they are brittle and break if you let them drop. In the range of 1,000 – 2,000 grit I prefer Deglon Ceramics Knife Sharpener to whetstones of corresponding grit rate, for easiness and convenience of use.
